“I Did A DNA Test And Was Told Two Of The Children Are Not Mine" - Femi Kuti

Femi Kuti is upset and sad at the moment. According to a DNA test recently carried out by the father of 5 on his children, shows two of them, Dupe and Tosin are not his. He revealed this to Encomium few days ago in an interview, regretting why a woman should give him what is not is. Here’s how Encomium puts it;

Britain is considering sending dozens of military trainers to Nigeria after a request from the troubled African state for help to battle Boko Haram Islamist extremists.
Defence sources said plans were being drawn up to bolster a small existing UK training mission in the Nigerian capital as the extremists continue to seize territory and wage a bloody campaign of attacks.
At least 64 people died and twice as many were wounded on Friday when three bombs tore through prayers at the mosque of an Islamic leader who had issued a call to arms against the militants.
The Nigerian government has called for more help as its demoralised military has failed to push back recent offensives, a senior Whitehall source said.
The extent of the government’s powerlessness was shown earlier this year when the militants kidnapped more than 200 school girls and was unable to find or release them.

You’ll go in 2015, APC leaders tell Jonathan

Bisi Akande; and governors of the states where the party is in power, said most Nigerians were tired of the President and would rather replace him with an APC president in 2015.

The opposition leaders spoke in Osogbo, Osun State, during the second-term inauguration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Ojo, performed the swearing-in for Aregbesola and his deputy, Mrs. Titi Laoye-Tomori. Ojo also administered the oath of office on the two.

Aregbesola got his second term when he was declared winner of the August 9 governorship poll in the state.

They APC governors who spoke at the ceremony are, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, Abdufatah Ahmed of Kwara State,   Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State,   Babatunde Fashola ( SAN) of Lagos State and Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Moses Adeyemo.

Tinubu, who spoke mostly in Yoruba language, said the Osun electorate resisted those he referred to as “forces of repression” during the August 9 election by choosing APC, adding that the party’s new philosophy was “commonsense revolution”.

He urged every Nigerian to vote out Jonathan next year.

He said, “The revolution we are talking about is the ability to use our voter card to send those people away because they have failed woefully.

“This revolution will take care of the elderly ones, create employment and to generate enough electricity and not to lie like they are telling lies from Abuja.

“The coming election in February, anybody who has charms must prepare very well. If you can use rings fortified with charms, do it; prepare waistbands and the likes. It is not going to be easy to defeat them.

“I am grateful to my mother who is in heaven. I was not trained to be a coward. We are ready for them.”

Nigeria unrest: Kano mosque explosions 'kill dozens'

Dozens of people have been killed in explosions during Friday prayers at one of the biggest mosques in the Nigerian city of Kano, reports say.
Many more people have been hurt, with one rescue official putting casualty figures at just under 200.
The Central Mosque is where the influential Muslim leader, the Emir of Kano, usually leads prayers.
The emir recently called for people to arm themselves against Islamist militant group Boko Haram.
The group has killed more than 2,000 people this year, rights groups say.

Some reports said there was gunfire in Kano after the explosions.
The rescue official, speaking to Agence France-Presse, put the casualty toll at 64 dead and 126 hurt, although this has not been independently confirmed.
One worshipper, Aminu Abdullahi, told the agency: "Two bombs exploded, one after the other, in the premises of the Grand Mosque seconds after the prayers had started."
He said the third blast was on a nearby road.
BBC Hausa editor Mansur Liman said one witness at a local hospital had described the scenes there as being the most horrible he had ever seen.
Our editor says Boko Haram will be the main suspects, as the attack bore all the hallmarks of the group.
No-one from the group has yet commented.

Published On: Sat, Nov 8th, 2014 News | By Reporter LIKE US ON FACEBOOK & TWITTER 2 feared dead, 20 injured in stampede at launching of Akwa Ibom new stadium Two persons were feared dead and 20 others injured in a stampede at the entrance of Akwa Ibom International Stadium on Friday during its inauguration. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that crowd control was a difficult task in spite of the road blocks mounted some kilometres away from the stadium. Although the spectators got tickets to enable them access the 30, 000 capacity stadium, the crowd started thronging the stadium about five hours ahead of the scheduled time for the match. Confirming the incident, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Emem Bassey, told NAN that two unconscious persons were taken to an undisclosed hospital. “I was told that two persons have been taken to the hospital; these are perhaps people who were fighting at the gate in their bid to enter the stadium,” Dr. Bassey said. He said that the third unconscious person, a woman, was revived in the stadium and had started talking. “It should be expected; this is the first time this is happening, everybody is excited, everybody wants to enter the stadium. “We have 150 medical personnel in this place and eight ambulances. All our medical teams are up and doing and all the clinics are manned,” Mr. Bassey said. NAN reports that the security operatives at some check points were using horse whips and teargas to control the crowd. Contacted, the

Tambuwal no longer entitled to security details -Adoke, IGP The Attorney General of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, and the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba, have insisted that  the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, is no longer entitled to security details. They argued that Tambuwal had ceased to be a member of the House and its Speaker, having defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, which in 2011 sponsored his election into the House of Representatives, to the All Progressives Congress. They maintained that Tambuwal had now become an ordinary citizen, who was no longer entitled to the privileges attached to the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. These are the contentions canvassed by both the Inspector-General of Police and Adoke in a joint counter-affidavit, which they filed before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, in response to the suit by Tambuwal and the APC. The IGP and the AGF are the 5th  and 7th defendants in the suit respectively. The plaintiffs filed the suit to challenge the withdrawal of his security details, alleged threat by the PDP to declare his seat vacant and remove him as Speaker. The lawyer, who represented the IGP and the AGF, Ade Okeaya-Inneh (SAN), argued that the police authorities could not be accused of breaching the Constitution by withdrawing Tambuwal’s

2015: Nigeria Sitting On a Time Bomb – Ambassador Hagher

The immediate past Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada, Professor Iyorwuese Hagher, has warned that Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb as the 2015 general elections approach.
Hagher, the executive director of the African Leadership Institute in Dayton Ohio, USA who made this warning in a review of his new book titled: “Diverse but not broken”, added that six conditions were present and prevalent in Nigeria, a country he described to be sitting on a ‘ticking bomb.”
Warning further in the book, the former envoy noted that no government power in Nigeria was strong enough to stop what he called a well-articulated youth response that expresses anger and fury against their depression, oppression, and suppression.
Hagher who had also served as an Ambassador and principal envoy to Mexico, Costa Ricardo, Panama, and Guatemala said: “With so many incendiary flash points, we are sitting on top OG a time bomb and the clock is ticking dangerously to the d-hour.
